Emperor's Champion Commission Part 3 (Final)

Well, I'm finally finished with the Champion. I can defiantly say that the sword took the most work our of everything. I tried my best to paint the letters in white, but it was impossible since I did not have the right sized brush required, and my white just doesn't want to play along with me. Other then that, being able to choose the right shades of red for the shoulder pads were pretty difficult, since the free hand is also red. I had to use the darkest shade of red I ever had to use, and use pure red to make the free hand drawing. Overall, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I could have probably done better if I spent even more time on it, but with the time given, I think my client will be really satisfied with how the mini turned out.

Emperor's Champion Commission Part 2

This guy is pretty close to being done. I'm pretty much finished with his armor, pouch, and his cloak. I still need to finish his base, as well as his weapon, eyes, and shoulder pads. I tried a new technique I never tried before, I used a blue wash and with it, I slightly applied it to the very edges of his armor. What this does is that it creates a very subtle aura effect to the armor. This took awhile, but the end effect was worth it.

Blood angel sanguinary priest terminator

Just quick side project I worked on. I saw this out of print terminator at my store for 5 dollars each, I decided to get 2 of them to convert into a Sanguinary Priest, and a Chaplain. Even though he probably looks more like a captain then a sanguinary priest, I'm satisfied with the way he turned out.

Emperor's Champion Commission

Well, time for something a bit different. A friends of mine asked me for a commission. He wanted me to use the Emperor's Champion model, and convert it to appear like a fantasy model. This was actually more simple then I thought, the Champion already looked like a borderline fantasy knight, so all I had to do was shave off his backpack holder, make his gun holder into a pouch, and fix all the miscasts with greenstuff. I'm actually glad for once that the model is finecast rather then metal, otherwise converting him could have been annoying. Also the photos is the model being held together with putty, I'm gonna glue the pieces last.

As for painting, he asked for a paint scheme that is really similar to the Grey Knights, mostly steel/iron with brightly colored cloths, and weapons. Anyways, I hope to get this finished as soon as possible, and hope he is satisfied with my work.

Blood angels Honor Guard

Well I'm finally publishing something other then terminators, this time is gonna be an honor guard squad. Much like the terminators, I don't have any proper models to represent them, so I decided to make my own. I was able to barter with the owner of my usual hobby shop to sell me Marneus Calgar and his honor guard separately and 1 black templar veteran. I gotta say, these guys look really awesome and I wish blood angels got stuff as fancy as these guys :(. Anyways I'm gonna use these guys but shave/cover up the Ultramarine iconography as best as I can. Im gonna give 3 of them a power weapon, 1 a pair of lightning claws, and 1 with a power fist. I'm gonna make the 25th anniversary model my power fist carrier. I will also try my best to give these guys a pre heresy look as well as being able to freely switch between jump packs and regular backpacks.

The biggest challenge is going to be to make these guys have a pre heresy look as well as trying to convert these guys to not look like Ultramarines. I'm also going to have to a little work to make the sanguinary priest look more venerable.

Blood angels Assault Terminators

I have actually never used these guys before in a real game, but I figured that I'm going to need something to go with my Terminator Librarian. There are 3 Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields and 2 Lightning claws termies,  I chose this ratio since I am going to attach a sizable amount of independent characters to the squad, there going to be a sanguinary priest w/ terminator armor, my terminator Librarian, and a Chaplain w/ terminator armor. I also have some resin bases for 2 of them, but I'm going to add extra terrain to the regular bases to keep it from looking boring in comparison.

The Chaplain in terminator armor is probably gonna be a waste since he already has a power weapon and 4+ invul save, but I go for more ascetics rather then power, and to me having that chaplain in termie armor gives a much more complete feeling.

Terminator Librarian

Hey guys this is my first post, I wanted to share my hobby with others and what better way is there then a blog. Though this isn't a real project, its more of what to expect from my own skills when I paint special characters.

Enjoy

Sorry about the quality on this one, the camera sometimes want to play along, sometimes not. The model looks a bit better in real life
